Leading up to their Lower West Side Clean Up, Happy Hour for Housing and annual Kickball Tournament Heart of the City Neighborhoods was looking for a new t-shirt graphic design. Nickel City Graphics stepped in with some design support from aspiring design Deanna Hodge to create a t-shirt graphic design that captured the diversity of the neighborhood, its unique geography and a heart graphic to tie it into one of the neighborhood’s driving forces – Heart of the City Neighborhoods. Check out the design above and see an on-t-shirt mockup at the You and Who sales page. The t-shirt graphic design was fun enough, but a partnership with buy-one-give-one t-shirt companyYou and Who made for a truly unique project.
After speaking with You and Who founder, Dan Gigante, we had worked out a deal in which Heart of the City Neighborhoods had one hundred shirts printed up to sell in typical fundraising fashion. After that initial sale You and Who will facilitate the ordering and fulfillment of additional shirts for Heart of the City on an as-needed basis. This takes a lot of the leg work and sales our of the fundraising process, and lets Heart of the City do what they do best. You can buy a shirt online from You and Who at any time right here, made to order.
